Club sent you a general newsletter on Tuesday this week. That newsletter covered all many useful items about cancellations, gear and more.

Shaun Gill is the SonicSixers Programme Football Director for 2010. Shaun will provide coaching curriculum and look after quality football fun and performance on the ground each Saturday; via the Teams' Coaches. Shaun will welcome and introduce the programme tomorrow to get things rolling.

Please be 5 mins early for an 830am start.

Each team of the SonicSixers will provide at least a Manager if not also a Coach. Currently we are short of about 4 Coaches.

Juan Propato is our Professional Coach. Juan delivers coaching courses for our Club throughout the season.

We have 18 teams playing 5-aside. A small number of teams do have 6 players not desirable but we haven’t got 20 teams. The draw will see each team progressively playing the other teams during the season.

Each week, after tomorrow the basic schedule is coaching for 30 mins followed by a game for 30 mins.

A beeper/ hooter is used to keep things moving along on time.

Gear Information

SonicSixers duty is to set up the pitch with the team signs, ball bags containing balls and cones, and goals on Saturday mornings.

The goals and ball bags are in the trolley in a locked room in the clubrooms. The trolley is taken onto the grounds, near the pitches, but not too close so as to cause a child running fast in the games to collide with it.

There is also a hooter in the trolley that is used to indicate the start of the 8:30 session, the start of the game at 9, half time at 9:12 and the end of the session at 9:28ish.

The pitches are set up as per the draw but care needs to be taken to move these if the ground area usually used is not suitable for playing. (e.g. too muddy)

After the coaching sessions (and before the match game) the balls and cones are returned to the ball bag ready for the Super7's session at 9:30

Each team has a gear bag which contains, shirts, player of the day trophy, player of the day certificates, bibs and a whistle. This is the responsibility of the coach. At the end of the season the gear bag is returned with the shirts and bibs and trophy. This should all be clean (including the bag) and folded neatly
