Manchester United Premier Cup 2012

Waterside Karori Juniors is entering a team into the Manchester United Premier Cup 2012. This is a competition for U15 players to represent their club at an international tournament.  The first stage is a regional competition held in Wellington with the winner playing teams from other regions within New Zealand.

To ensure current and past Karori players get an opportunity to be part of the team we are inviting interested players to trial on 22 January 2012 at Nairnville Artificial Turf from 4-6 pm.  We especially encourage players from the following grades:

2012 – 14th grade
2011– 14th grade/ U17 (those that meet the entry conditions as listed below).

Due to the first game being held on the 28th January we will be training the following Monday, Wednesday and Friday (23rd, 25th and 27th) in the evening - 6-8pm at Nairnville Artificial Turf.

Note the following rules:

  1. Any player who plays for a club in any part of the MUPC 2012 must remain with that club for the duration of the 2012 winter season (there is no difference for Juniors or Seniors, it applies to both). This does not impact on college sport which means you can play for Karori and your college.  But you must only play for Karori in any Capital Football competition.
  2. All players must be registered for the club – this means if you are selected you will be automatically registered in the club system.
  3. Players must be under 15 years of age as at 1st January 2012
